When Chessa, daughter of King Sitric of Dublin, is kidnapped by the contemptuous Ragnor of York, Cleve of Malverne must seek them out and return Chessa to Duke Rolly of Normandy, whose son William she is bound to marry. Cleve knows he must do all he can to unite Chessa and William, but does he have any ulterior motives himself?
