Psychologist Alex Gregory has an unusual pair of new patients--Tom Clone, imprisoned for more than a decade for a crime he didn't commit, who is now being released and needs help readjusting to life on the outside, and Kelda James, the FBI agent responsible for freeing Clone. Through sessions with each of them, Gregory begins to be able to piece together the events leading up to Clone's arrest, and in the process, puts himself in grave danger....
