Black Ice

In this novel of Antarctic adventure, an Englishman and a Norwegian attempting to trek across Antarctica become hopelessly lost. They are rescued by a woman scientist who is working nearby at a station called Capricorn. The Englishman becomes crazed and power-hungry; his mad goal is to be hailed as the sole hero of the unfortunately experiment, and as the rest of the characters attempt to get help, he hunts them down relentlessly in a snowmobile.
