When Christmas Comes

A house swap leads to two romances in this Christmas-themed contemporary novel. Emily Springer, a widow in Leavenworth, Washington, is devastated that her daughter Heather, a Harvard student, isn't planning to come home for Christmas. Emily decides to go see Heather instead, and posts an Internet ad offering to exchange her home for one in Boston for the Christmas season. The offer is accepted by Charles Brewster, a Harvard professor anxious to avoid his mother's holiday matchmaking efforts. Mishaps and love ensue when: 1) Emily's friend Faith decides to surprise Emily with a hometown visit and finds Charles there; and 2) Charles's overbearing mother sends her other son Ray to track Charles down, and Ray encounters Emily instead.
